Hello Argyle students and family!
We hope you had a great weekend and have gotten into the swing of things these past several weeks. As we go into our fifth week of digital learning, we need to keep thinking about supporting others and demonstrating acts of kindness. One way we can do this is by helping our parents around the house. Are you all keeping your rooms cleaned? Are you helping with the dishes and laundry? Maybe you are even helping mom or dad in the kitchen.
Below you will find the counseling lesson for this week and additional resources. Again, if you need me or would like to send feedback, please feel free to email me: [email protected]
Assignment for this week:
What exactly is kindness?
What is it to be kind?
Is it being helpful?
Being polite?
Does it have to be a big act to be more kind?
Well, maybe the smallest act is the most powerful.
Also being kind to yourself can look like many other things such as:eating healthy, exercising, reading a book, taking a nap, encouraging yourself, and showing yourself grace by not being so hard on yourself when you “mess” up on something.
Activity:
Pick one activity listed below.
1.) Draw a picture of you being kind to someone else. Write a sentence (or more) describing your picture.
2.) Draw a picture of you being kind to yourself. Write a sentence describing your picture.
Students, watch the below videos about kindness.
